This house is located in Athens, PA. The owner always put hundreds pumpkins as decoration for hallowen every year. Interesting picture, and chalenged me to paint all the pumpkins and the house. The house have an unique character. And this painting was exhibited at Tioga Museum in 2009. And surprised me, there was an old painting in the Museum with that house and community inside, also shown the rough road(unpaved) and carriage horses. I bet, that the house was build in 1700 or 1800, and they still keep the house in good condition.
I am watercolor artist . I was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. I have a degree in Architecture, specializing in interior decorating. After moving to the USA I took up watercolor painting and paints full time. I live in Sayre, PA with my husband. I had tried many mediums, but I love working in watercolor because the brushstroke, the water and the color flowing on the paper creates exciting painting. As you may notice, I frequently use color to give my images a certain novel liveliness that attract the eye and gives the work its own place of prominence outside and apart from the subject of the work.
