Description
This view I took from Monhegan Island with zoom lens to Manana Island, where I saw many goats on Manana Island.
Manana Island is a small island in Lincoln County, Maine, United States, lying adjacent to Monhegan island, about 10 miles (16 km) off Pemaquid Point on the mainland. The island is part of the Plantation of Monhegan.
Manana is a lovely yet rugged island that affords great views of Monhegan's harbor and village beyond. Many years ago there was a man names Ray Philips ( so-called Hermit of Manana ) from New York City sailed a small sloop to Monhegan Island in 1931 and settled on Manana. He died on the island in 1975 at age 83.
